Re: Messerschmitt Bf110 C and E
Er,... Might it be possible that C9+AM in memory of Rudi Thun could be made of the antennaed aircraft?

Hiya Helldiver,
we don't currently plan to do the nightfighters since the Zerstörer will keep us truely busy.
There's allready load of variations esspecially in the cockpits.
Just shying away a bit from making all that radar equipment, you know.
But I'm sure we can make a personal mokup wannabe Thun plan for you when time has come, just as we did years ago for you.

Well that would be very nice of you.
By the way, our early radar om the SB2C had two scopes one for azimth and the other for elevation. Distance was a matter of interpretation. When the two points converged, you had collided with the target. Did the Luftwaffe had a similar setup? Just another duty the radioman/gunner, had including making sure the pilot didn't go to sleep.
When you both took a nap, then there could be trouble.

Bob,
The nightfighters were equipped with different types of radar. The FuG202 which was often used on the Bf110 G-4 had 3 scopes; range, azimuth and elevation. The FuG220 however had only 2 scopes.
For further reading I can recomment this article:

With the near closer and release of the D-9 , is a concerted effort be directed at our well known twin tailed BF-110 or has it gone on the back burner for a little whiles longer ?

Hey Ian,
I can't really think of any other excuse to further delay the Bf110 so it'll definitely be the next project after the Dora/Ta152 package has been released.
